چکیده
The subject of this article is an assessment reference points and the state black halibut stock in Barents Sea. Despite abundance information accumulated over years fishing research, uncertainty dynamics remains quite high. describes analyzes all currently known sources about –data from surveys, statistics age structure catches. Several types models are being built – production age-structured model. MSY value at level 28–32 thousand tons were obtained as a result applying three different approaches to modeling: models, combining cohort constructing yield-recruit curve based on data. much greater estimates biomass, current intensity can be considered close optimal obtained.

Trawl Selectivity in the Barents Sea Demersal Fishery
This chapter provides a general overview of the Barents Sea demersal trawl fishery. First, it reviews historical catch levels and current biomass status of four commercially important demersal species (cod, haddock, Greenland halibut, and redfish) and includes an overview of their management plan that has been carried out by the Joint Norwegian–Russian commission. Then, it presents the evolutio...

Fisheries in the North Atlantic, southeast Atlantic, and eastern central Atlantic reached their maximum production levels one or two decades ago and are now showing a declining trend in total catches (1). The declining catches are consistent with observations that these areas have the highest incidence of overexploited stocks, depleted stocks or slowly recovering stocks that have been depleted ...

Barents Sea multidecadal variability
[1] We present area-averaged time series of temperature for the 100–150 m depth layer of the Barents Sea from 1900 through 2006. This record is dominated by multidecadal variability on the order of 4 C which is correlated with the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation Index. Citation: Levitus, S., G. Matishov, D. Seidov, and I. Smolyar (2009), Barents Sea multidecadal variability, Geophys. Res. Let...
